Tell me a little bit about yourself.

What (NOT) TO SAY: Do not tell them your life story and do not add in a lot of personal information that is not directly connected to the job to which you are interviewing.

WHAT TO SAY: Tell a brief story of how your education and on-the-job experience from previous jobs led you to where you are today—applying to this current role. Make sure that your story also indicates how your education and on-the-job experience makes you qualified for the role.
