How to Explain Gaps in Employment?

If you have a gap between two jobs listed on your resume it can be a huge red flag for an employer. The best way to explain a gap in employment is to justify it based on planned or unplanned LIFE events. Employers never question gaps in employment if you had to take care of an ill relative, relocate for a spouse, raised a child, or even if you fell ill, yourself. Employers cannot probe into these areas and there’s no way to prove or disprove the event occurring during the interview.
