I cannot say enough about Jennifer. She is a sprinkle of magic, infused with vibranium. I reached out to her when I wanted to make a career change to another state. I had attempted and failed at it for several years, but within six weeks of working with her, I had an offer at a highly-regarded organization. Her value was not just in helping me to find a job, it was also in helping me to appreciate the job I already had. So when I did get the offer, I felt I could make the decision strategically and not out of desperation. I recommended her to friends of all races, stations in life, and income levels. She is truly gifted in what she does.

I was with my former employer for over eight years before I decided to look for new job opportunities. So you can only imagine how rusty I felt dealing with resumes and job interviews. Jennifer helped me throughout the entire process and made it as easy as possible. First, she helped me reconstruct my resume so that it stood out from the competition and increased my chances of getting a job. I was told by several recruiters that my resume looked amazing. That was all thanks to Jennifer. Next, she prepped me for job interviews and provided guidance on how to properly follow up with recruiters and interviewers. And finally, after I received a job offer, she gave advice on the negotiation process. With her help, I was able to negotiate a competitive salary, work schedule, and telecommuting days. Overall, Jennifer provided exceptional services and was an absolute pleasure to work with.

I hired Jennifer when a colleague and friend told me that she had worked with Jennifer. That same colleague was on the way out the door to a much better position, and I wanted someone who could help me get there, too. Jennifer and I worked together with 1:1 coaching sessions that were sometimes once a week and sometimes every other week, as my schedule allowed. Her #CareerSuccess by JenniferTardy.com coaching program was flexible and holistic. No matter whether it had been one week or several weeks since our last session, she would consult her notes and ask me to both give her updates on open items but then also download the thoughts on my heart and mind. I really appreciated that download because sometimes the issues tangential to the job search itself (What effect would moving to a new area of the country have on my 2-year-old daughter?) weighed more heavily on my mind than any single interview.

The biggest benefit that I received from the experience working with Jennifer was having to be accountable. Jennifer told me several times that I am very direct in the way I speak, and she mirrored that when I needed it the most. Before #CareerSuccess, I had been searching for a new job on-and-off for a few years, but I only applied for jobs online, often in the middle of the night, when I was angry at something that had happened at my current employer. Then, I just waited for something to happen with those applications. When I had to admit to Jennifer in some of our sessions that I hadn’t done my homework, she reminded me that nothing was going to happen if I didn’t make my job search a priority and follow through with what works. I ended up making a deal with my husband that he would cover childcare duties on certain nights every week so I could really focus on networking efforts and researching employers.

It worked! I received and accepted an offer for a senior legal position in a large, publicly-traded company. I will be making more money and living in a more affordable area of the country, so my daughter can finally have a swing set and a dog in the yard. Even more important to me personally, this position is a stretch for me. I have the skills they need, but I will learn a new area of the law. I got the job because I had built up my confidence, and I sold myself as the right person for the job. I probably would not have applied to this dream position without Jennifer, and I have no doubt that I got it because of Jennifer Tardy and her coaching skills. Plain and simple.

This program is life altering and helpful to their careers. It is a great deal and bargain.

[Offer Magnet Job Seeker Program] has affected my career positively because when I didn’t pass my certification, Jennifer said I should still submit my application & then work my way up. It ultimately resulted in me getting the job. It was a 35,000 increase in salary.

I liked how useful it was. It gave me an understanding on how to value myself professionally and how to put that into practice. I remember Jennifer changing my mindset by telling me she “hoped I would stop making requests and asking for things with the consideration of what I might not get”. I was low balling myself and I did not know it. The resources and conversation gave me a new perspective. It gave ideas and advice in terms of me as a whole person versus just standard advice. I felt the ideas were based on what I need and want.

Jennifer’s programs helped me identify my key capabilities that I need to show and how to structure them for the jobs that I wanted. I felt my resume was more polished going into it and I only included key information. The recruiter put me up for two jobs and I was able to take my key learnings and apply them to the panel interview and it really helped me. The ability to be transparent in a group setting was helpful as well because a lot of us had the same questions. Jennifer just has this way of convincing you that it’s all gonna be okay. I just want to thank Jennifer for her knowledge. And I want to thank whoever is feeding her spirit and allowing her to be able to keep sharing and emparting on others. There are not many people like her. She just genuinely cares. She just knows. She makes it easy and makes you want to be her buddy! She just gets it and understands the struggle. Jennifer allows you your moment and then she says ‘okay, now what are you gonna do about it’. She has been an important part of my personal journey.

I would absolutely recommend the program. If you have time for intake, do that. It makes a difference if you get to know Jennifer. Her personality helps & you need to see if she fits your current needs. Also, to get the most out of this program, come up with a plan. This is not a one way street.

If you have been out of the job market for a while, this is a great resource to get tips and resources that you need to get the job they want. My salary may have only went up $2,000, but I was able to cut my commute significantly. And my new job is an increase in job responsibility so I feel there is more money to be available.

Offer Magnet Job Seeker helps you rethink how you think about yourself and your job search. You can be systematic and there are tangible things you can use and be doing to move forward. My confidence has definitely grown.

Even though I’m an introvert the conference calls were helpful; they kept my job search front and center and helped me to not get discouraged when I had setbacks. So “thank you” to you! Your positivity, encouragement and realism helped me to land this job, to ask for what I wanted and to put myself of track for greater long term compensation (I was underpaid at my last job and you helped me see that, if I didn’t work to rectify that by asking for my worth instead of letting them base my salary on my past salary then I would always be underpaid.)
